SUPPORTED SESSIONS

We offer Supported Sessions for those with previous Handbuilding experience, either with us or elsewhere. The full use of the studio is included, with a technician or tutor on hand for technical advice. This allows you to work independently, expanding your knowledge and ideas at your own pace. You will need to feel confident to work on your own projects, but we will be available to you with technical advice on glazing etc. All kiln work will be done by us, but we can support you in understanding the ceramic and kiln firing process. This gives you freedom to explore your own ideas and style of working with clay without the confinements of a structured taught class. The sessions are 2.5 hrs in 6wk blocks. The cost includes full use of the studio, including slab roller, clay extruder and a range of underglazes and glazes plus firing of your work. Should you decide to make extra large work, an extra cost will incur for sole kiln use.

Clay is available to purchase from us in addition to the course
