Workshops
We are running a variety of Pottery workshops below:
Coming soon...Alternative Firing Pottery Days
We will be offering a unique opportunity for you to experience alternative ways of firing pottery
using fire and smoke. These age old traditional pottery techniques can create amazing surfaces
as an alternative to glaze firing in the kiln.
Animal Workshop
A fun 3 hour workshop where you can create a clay sculpture of (almost) any animal. Bring a photo of your chosen subject and with guidance every step of the way from our artist/ceramicist Sarah Pink and learn different techniques to create your own animal sculpture.
Portrait/Character Pottery Planter
A fabulously fun, 3.5 hr workshop making a character pottery planter. You will be led by Sarah throughout the process of assembling your planter and adding the portrait/ character, using colours to bring them to life.

Sgraffito Workshop
During this 4 and a half hour workshop, you will learn how to create a vase, using the slab build technique, forming the clay slab around a cylinder and attaching a base.
Matching Cup & Plate Workshop
This is a fun 4hr workshop incorporating different techniques in handbuilding with clay. You will make a mug/cup using the slab method and create a plate using a mold technique. Both easy enough for beginners, but fun enough for those who’ve had their hands on clay previously.

Mindfulness with Clay
Take some time out and join us for a three hour session of purposeful calm.
Exploring Drawing onto Clay
In this full day workshop and using the beautiful Cheshire countryside surrounding our farm as your inspiration, explore different techniques of drawing onto hand built clay plates.
Coil a Pot workshop - coming soon
During this 3hr workshop, you will use the coiling technique to create an amazing Pot.
Your piece will be left with us to be glazed and fired in the kiln. You’ll be able to collect your masterpiece in approx 2-3 weeks.
Taster Sessions
With Ceramic Artist Sally Riley
These 2.5 hour sessions are a great opportunity for you to complete a small project and try out handbuilding pottery without the commitment to a course of classes.
